Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit wants newly installed Commonwealth Secretary-General, Patricia Scotland to continue to champion the cause for small island states particularly in relation to challenges with debt and access to finance.
Baroness Scotland, who assumed office on Friday, paid a courtesy call to PM Skerrit while spending the day here today. PM Skerrit said the debt challenges facing small island states is a major concern and the international community fails to appreciate the vulnerability of these small states.
