Portsmouth MP Ian Douglas blames deterioration in Parliament on the behaviour of the Opposition?5/31/2017 MP for the Portsmouth Constituency Ian Douglas has says the country's House of Assembly continues to deteriorate, due to the behaviour of the Opposition. Just last week Parliament was adjourned without further considerations of matters on the order paper, following protest by concerned members of the public outside of the parliament, who were dissatisfied with a bill brought by the DLP Government, to amend the Election Laws, which they perceived to be an attempt to legitimize bribery and treating in Dominica’s elections. PM Roosevelt Skerrit said the adjournment was the best way to avoid the confrontation which he claimed was being sought. He stated that he did not want to put anyone in harm's way in relation to that matter. Douglas described that situation as sad. MP for the Portsmouth Constituency Ian Douglas.
