Chief Medical Officer, Dr David Johnson, says 2 pregnant women on island who have been infected with the Zika virus are still being monitored. He says however; to date there have not been any complications of any sort due to the dreaded mosquito borne virus. The CMO says the women are being monitored by a team of experts at the PMH and no sign of microcephaly has been detected. Dr Johnson was addressing a recent ministry of health press conference. Meantime, Dr Johnson says a collective approach is required in this ongoing fight against eliminating mosquito breeding grounds. Chief Medical Officer Dr David Johnson
To date 28 confirmed cases of the Zika virus have been reported on island.
