President of Dominica Charles Savarin is presently participating in the 15th conference of Presidents and Governor Generals of the Caribbean community in Antigua. The Conference is being held under the theme ‘The Relevance of the Commonwealth in a changing Caribbean.’
The two-day conference includes presentations on the role and function of the CCJ, the changing face of banking in the Caribbean, and the impact of global warming on Small Island States. The conference sessions will come to a close with the selection of a host country for the 2017 conference, and a date for the next conference. President Savarin is accompanied by his wife and Inspector Bruno, and will return home on Friday. Mr Conrad O. McIntyre is the country’s Acting President in the interim.
