Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit calls for actions and decisions to help transform agriculture in the region, to give farmers the comfort and confidence needed from the hands of leaders within the region. He was speaking at the Caricom Agri-Investment Forum & Expo in Guyana Thursday morning. Prime Minister Skerrit said as part of the process of advancing this initiative led by the President of Guyana, actions must be itemized and taken.

Meanwhile Mr Skerrit said governments speak about helping farmers, but in the process of attracting jobs in the tourism industry, concessions are given to hotels to import food from outside the region. He says this must be addressed.
