Prime Minister Skerrit says the DLP government is not interfering with or influencing the court system
Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit is refuting claims that his government interferes with or is seeking to influence the country’s legal system.
Skerrit says contrary to what people say and perceive, the executive does not get involved in the court system.
He told a recent press conference that the only engagement between government and court officers is in respect to the working environment.
The Prime Minister also issued a call for court officers to be more diligent in the execution of their duties.
Skerrit says court delays will not stop, unless court officers are more diligent in their work.
