Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit has called on Dominicans to be responsible citizens and family members this Christmas season. It is customary that at this time, people reach out to others in kindness, bringing cheer and joy. This is and also a time for healing and reconciliation among family members and friends.
In his Christmas message to the nation, Mr Skerrit stated that too often, senior citizens appear to be abandoned and left alone, at a time in their lives when they need family members the most. He appealed to Dominicans to be “responsible citizens and family members, to be hard-working & committed, and to always seek the way of dialogue, compromise and peace, as the way to resolve differences.”
