Principal of the UWI open campus system says enrollment is low compared to that of other States4/14/2016 Addressing leaders & citizens at a Lecture at the fort young hotel last night, Dr. Luz Longsworth Pro-Vice Chancellor & Principal of the University of the West Indies open campus said, the enrollment rate for the University is well below that of Switzerland, Singapore, the U.S and the Netherlands, which are all at 50%.
Longsworth also made a call to the leaders within the jurisdiction of the Institution, to recognize that these figures need to rise, and that they must utilize innovative techniques to encourage citizens to enroll into tertiary Education, as means of creating the resilience and development that CARICOM is hoping to achieve.
