Roseau Central MP, Joseph Issac, has reiterated his call for the decriminalization of marijuana.
Speaking on the UWP's weekly radio program last week, Issac said he wants the matter brought before parliament. He first made the call at a graduation ceremony of the Youth Development Division's Life Skills Program to which he received backlash from some Government forces. Among them was Dominica's current Liaison Officer for Diaspora Affairs in St Thomas, Loreen Bannis-Roberts, who said Issac's is trying to erode all efforts made by the DLP Administration to raise awareness on drug abuse here. But Issac says his call is not advocating for persons to go about smoking marijuana.
