Roseau Central MP, Joseph Isaac, is sympathizing with some 60 employees affected by the closure of the Caribbean Call Centre.
The centre closed down abruptly last week citing its inability to meet their financial obligations as the reason. The employees who wrote to the Labour Commission recently expressing concern over the unfair working conditions there, are appealing for administrators of the Call Centre to pay up on monies owed to them. Isaac, speaking on Q95 Tuesday, supported a proposal made by Opposition Leader Lennox Linton, suggesting that Government, through the NEP, facilitate compensation of the employees and then pursue the administrators to recover those funds.
