More speculation continues as the Parliamentary Member for Roseau South Joshua Francis has failed to attend any of the recent sessions of parliament. It is believed that his continued absence is a signal of his intent to resign from active politics. Senior Counsel Anthony Astaphan said on national radio on Tuesday, that should a member miss three Parliamentary meetings without excuse, his seat will be rendered vacant by law. The budget debate was the second Parliamentary meeting in which Francis was absent however it is unclear whether or not an excuse for his absence was submitted.
