Senator Thompson Fontaine reports that US meetings held in Atlanta and New York were successful. He says these meetings are a general effort by the UWP to engage the Diaspora in a more constructive way, and that the UWP plans to include their opinions in the opposition’s responses to the upcoming amendments to the Sexual abuse act. Fontaine went on to announce that over the next few months, more of these events are scheduled will be scheduled to be held in a wide range of countries including North America, Paris and London, and also in the Caribbean region, where Dominicans are known to be resident in large numbers.
