Senior Counsel, Anthony Astaphan, has accused some opposition candidates of being controlled by the Drug Trade on island. Astaphan's comments come on the heels of backlash following statements made by Roseau Central MP, Joseph Issac re the decriminalization of Marijuana on island. Loreen Bannis- Roberts also commented on the matter demanding an apology from Issac for the statements. When asked to comment on the statements coming from Loreen Bannis Roberts, Issac said he did not wish to comment on the matter at this time, but did promise to respond later.
