Senior counsel, Anthony Astaphan, says Opposition Leader Lennox Linton is in no position to question the legality of the west bridge contract.
He says that the government has made it well known that the reason that the promised upgrading works in Roseau and Portsmouth have not been done is due to the fact that these projects are donor funded. Astaphan made reference to the memorandum of understanding signed in 2014 for the redevelopment of Roseau saying that this was a promise made 2 years before, however due to the damages rendered by TS Erika these projects needed to be sped up.
