Senior Education Officer says there are numerous benefits to be derived from learning a foreign language
Senior Education Officer in the Curriculum Measurement & Evaluation Unit, Robert Guiste, says there are many benefits associated with learning a foreign language.
Guiste who was addressing the launch of Francophone month this week, said French is being taught at 90% of the schools on the island, to encourage primary school students to learn the French language.
With Dominica geographically located between the two French islands Guadeloupe and Martinique, he says there are many benefits to be derived from learning the language.
Dominica joins 79 other countries in celebrating Francophone month this month.
