Seven young ladies will vie for the title of 2016 Miss Wob at a pageant scheduled to take place at the Old Mill Cultural Centre on Thursday, October 27 from 8:00 pm.
The contestants are Kayanna Joseph of Paix Bouche representing the north, Terisa Baptiste of Wesley representing the north-east, Dahlia Bruno of Bataca representing the East, Decilia Phillip of Grand Fond representing the south-east, Vernanda Mitchel of Petite Savanne representing the south ,Primrose David of Massacre representing the west and Shanice Langford of King’s Hill representing the south-west. The current holder of the prestigious title is Merlyjah Benjamin of Grand Bay.She won the title in 2014. The pageant was not held in 2015 as the island grappled with the effects of Tropical Storm Erika.
