The Sickle Cell Cares Foundation is continuing on its awareness campaign with a photo competition dubbed, “Wear Red for Sickle Cell”.
The competition which is being run through the Foundation’s social media account on Facebook, targets mainly youth and hopes that through the activity, it can raise the group’s profile among the youthful population. The rules for the competition include liking the Foundation’s official Facebook page and submitting a photo in Red before or on June 17th via the group’s email address: info@sicklecellcares.org. Competition participants gain a chance to win a painting from renowned Dominican artist Earl Ettienne or Petros Maeza, an Ethiopian artist who now calls Dominica his home.
