Sinking road and Landslide on the Dr Nicholas Liverpool Highway in Belles, is posing danger for motorists and pedestrians using that area.
Motorists and pedestrians are advised to proceed cautiously in the area.
Reports indicate that some motorists were caught by unawares by the unexpected situation on that road.
Some who passed through the area on this morning are advising motorists to avoid the road altogether, and try alternative routes.
The island is now being affected by a trough system, which according to the Met Office, is generating unstable weather across the island.
Cloudy conditions, scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms are expected to continue to affect the island today.
The Met Office is advising Persons in areas prone to flooding, landslides, and falling rocks, to be vigilant, and to exercise caution.
