St Joseph MP Kelver Darroux says he is pleased with the progress that is being made in the reconstruction of the Yorke Valley Bridge.
The Yorke Valley Bridge has been in disrepair for quite some time, after it was severely damaged following the collapse of the Matthieu Dam in July, 2011.
Following a visit to the area yesterday, Darroux said the construction of the bridge will have a significant impact on the farmers of the area. He says this bridge will set the stage for Government’s vision for the Layou valley area.
Construction of the New Yorke Valley Bridge, which is estimated to be in excess of EC$11 million, is made possible through grant funding from the People’s Republic of China. Works began in September 2016 and are expected to last for one year.
