Tourism Minister firing back at critics who say his ministry was slow in addressing a fatal accident
Tourism Minister Senator Robert Tonge is firing back at critics who say his ministry was slow in issuing a statement following an accident in Antrim last Wednesday, which claimed the life of a British cruise ship passenger, and left several injured.
The Ministry of Tourism & Urban Renewal on Thursday afternoon released a statement on the matter, however many critics had already taken to the airwaves and social media questioning why the government had remained quiet for so long.
Senator Tonge sought to clarify why his ministry was unable to issue a statement immediately following the fatal accident.
