Trade Minister Ian Douglas now claims the Government of Dominica allowed more fish to come to Dominica from the Archipelago, and that is the reason fish is being sold at EC $5 per pound.
Mr. Douglas speaking on at the 2020-2021 National Budget debate at the time sought to highlight some of the great works of the present administration within the fishing sector.
He says the fishers up north have not been fishing as much as they like, and as a result the fish came to Dominica because of warm weather and the government of Dominica, fishes of high value are now being sold cheap.
Minister For Trade, Ian Douglas.
