Persons in areas prone to flooding, landslides and falling rocks are being advised to exercise caution as a tropical wave affects the island at this time.
According to a forecast from the Dominica Meteorological service, this system is expected to generate cloudiness, showers and possible isolated thunderstorms across the island chain during today with a relative improvement in conditions expected by tonight into tomorrow.
Meanwhile, another tropical wave is expected to move across the area by mid-week.
Moderate seas are expected during the next 24 to 48 hours with waves peaking near 7.0ft. Small craft operators and sea bathers are also being advised to continue to exercise caution.
