Opposition leader Lennox Linton laments the inaction of the Electoral Commission in ensuring a free & fair Grand Bay By-Election, amid controversy around Ambassador Vince Henderson’s alleged illegal nomination as a candidate in the Grandbay in the Grandbay By-election which takes place tomorrow Thursday 25th November.
He asks what is really the purpose of the electoral commission in Dominica if they seem not to have any say in, or care for, free and fair elections?
Mr. Linton Questions the purpose of the commission, which according to the constitution is supposed to be an independent body with powers to ensure free and fair elections, but which in recent years, has shown political bias in favor of the ruling party, and remains silent on illegalities concerning candidates.
