UWP Leader Lennox Linton is of the view that there is no merit in recent statements made by ministers of government, regarding the construction of a New National Hospital in Marigot.
Linton believes that too much time has already gone by in creating a design for the Hospital, which was first shut down in 2014 because of a severe termite infestation.
At a press conference on May 6, 2015, Health Minister Dr. Kenneth Darroux said a new hospital for Marigot was still on the cards. He said “Building a new hospital for Marigot is a policy decision that government has taken. “If you look at the Labour Party manifesto, a new hospital for Marigot is to be built for a number of reasons.”
Linton is calling on the DLP Government to take a more serious approach toward building major facilities in Dominica.
