UWP Leader wants La Plaine MP to fixhis ‘Boetica Bridge’ concerns withhis cabinet colleagues12/11/2015 And Opposition Leader Lennox Linton, says the concerns being expressed by La Plaine MP, Petter St. Jean, regarding the long delays in completing a bridge at Boetica, could have been discussed and resolved with his cabinet colleagues. Speaking on Q95 Thursday, Linton questioned whether the contractor who is undertaking that project is receiving payments for the works undertaken so far. Non-payment of monies for services rendered in post Erika relief and reconstruction, has been a major issue for many service providers. Linton questions whether this is not the case with the situation at Boetica.
The communities of Delices and Boetica have been cut off from the rest of the island since the passage of Tropical Storm Erika, which destroyed a bridge to one part of the island.
