UWP Senator, Isaac Baptiste, not pleased in the way the DLP administration passes legislation in Parliament
UWP Senator, Isaac Baptiste, says he is not pleased in the way the DLP administration passes legislation in Dominica.
Baptist says for the past five sit-ins the government would present legislation in Parliament then proceed to take all three readings of the legislation in one session. He believes this is a deliberate practice by the DLP to avoid consultation from the opposition and the general public, to advance their own political agenda.
Meanwhile Baptiste believes that the procedure which should follow passing legislation will benefit the Dominican people and illustrate true democracy if adhered to.
