Vice President of the Dominica Public Service Union (DPSU) Delia Cuffy-Weeks describes being part of a union as being married, but says there can be no union if individuals are going in different directions
Speaking on the DSPU program on Q95 Wednesday evening, Vice-President of the Dominica Public Service Union, Delia Cuffy-Weeks says UNION means you and I. She said there can be no union if individuals are going different directions. they have to be on the same path in other to be a union and it’s just like being married.
She added that they are evaluating and understanding that unity is strength and there are different unions which represent different classes of workers. She said the purpose of the union is to look out for the people that they represent, and every union has that as its mandate. Weeks called on unions to learn to coexist with each other.
