Persons living in areas prone to landslides and falling rocks are being asked to remain vigilant and to continue to exercise caution as a tropical wave continues to affect the island.
According to the Dominica Meteorological Service, the tropical wave will continue to produce an increase in cloudiness, shower and thunderstorm activity across the island chain. These conditions are expected to improve relatively by afternoon into tonight. Meanwhile, a small craft advisory is in effect for above normal seas and high winds as moderate sea conditions are expected during the next 24 hours with waves peaking near 10.0 feet. All users of the sea, particularly on the east coast are also being advised to exercise caution.
