Wesley MP questions the speed with which the investigations into the Silver Lake fire were completed
Wesley MP Ezekiel Bazil has expressed concerns over the speed in which the fire department conducted investigations into the Silver Lake fire. On December 26, some 60 people from 19 families were left homeless, when a fire destroyed two eight-bedroom apartments in Silver Lake.
The very next day, bulldozers were on the scene clearing debris in hopes of beginning the rebuilding process. A later release indicated, that the fire department had already determined the cause of the fire.
Drawing upon his knowledge in the insurance industry, Bazil says a typical investigation is conducted over weeks, rather than in the course of just one day.
