Wesley MP Ezekiel Bazil says while the UWP supports the construction of the new national hospital, he believes there must be modern supporthospital facilities in catchment areas such as St. Joseph, Portsmouth, and Marigot, alongside the new hospital in to be constructed Goodwill.
In recent times the Marigot hospital was partially shut down due to a termite infestation, then was later fully closed upon the discovery of mold. The Health ministry has managed to temporarily house the facility in two buildings identified for the relocation of the Marigot Hospital.
Bazil questions whether the idea of supporting facilities was considered during the planning of this new hospital. He calls for a full management team for the construction of the new hospital.
