Executive Director of the National telecommunications Regulatory Commission (NTRC), Craig Nesty, has brought forward statistics, balance and information on the concerns being expressed by Dominicans to address the difficulty of internet access in various communities across Dominica. Q95 trainee Journalist and Lead Institute student Whitney Melinard made a passionate plea to the heads of the Telecommunication companies on island, to invest in the infrastructure to ensure that internet broadband service is brought to the Kalinago territory and communities across Dominica. Craig Nesty went on to respond giving a clear backdrop as to what the telecommunication companies are currently up to. There also appears to be a clear legal violation of the telecommunication companies, which according to Nesty, have been selective in where they provide fixed line internet service, since the happenings of Hurricane Maria in September 2017.
