While speaking to Q95 Hotseat Host Mathias Peltier on Thursday, Francis reported a recent negotiation made between a local Contractor looking for storage of his building materials, and the Loubiere village council. It is said the local Contractor was given two options by the Village Council, that is, option one, the contractor agrees to pay a $6000 dollars monthly fee to the village council for storage space, or two, after completion of his work in the community, the contractor will agree to completely rehabilitate the playing field. The Roseau South MP added, the young men in Loubiere are disappointed and enraged by the decision taken by the council to accept the contractor’s offer to pay $6000 per month for use of the field. The youth also fear that rehabilitation of their playing field will be significantly delayed, which would considerably defy them of the opportunity to vent their stress through the sport, train for upcoming leagues and remain productive.
