In recent times, Rudy Giuliani has had his law license suspended in New York for making "demonstrably false and misleading" claims around the 2020 US election. Mr. Giuliani, 77, has been a mayor of New York City and a personal lawyer to former US President Donald Trump. Mr. Trump refused to admit losing the November election to Joe Biden and Giuliani went to court to overturn the result, claiming it had been fixed. On Thursday, the ex-president defended him as "a great American patriot". Hours after a New York appeals court ruled Giuliani had lied about electoral fraud to the public and in legal statements, Trump repeated the claims again without providing new evidence. The decision, made by a five-judge panel, is temporary - pending the outcome of a full disciplinary hearing. Leader of the Parliamentary Opposition in Dominica and Marigot MP, Lennox Linton says‘ Juxtapose this interesting development and the transparency and fairness of the American Judiciary in handling political cases, against what passes as the Judiciary on similar national matters’ and added that he hopes to see if those who currently operate as biased agents of the Skerrit Administration, will seek redemption by beginning to operate in accordance with the rule of law, rather than please Skerrit and those around him. One of the main initiators of the World Creole Music Festival, Former National Development Corporation (NDC) CEO, and now CEO of WICE Q95 FM Radio, Sheridan Gregoire, reveals one of the major plans of the World Creole Music Festival, which should have continued his successors, after the roles of leadership from those who established the festival was passed on to them. Gregoire emphasized that the WCMF was never established for the primary purpose of making profit for the government, its purpose is to market the destination and country’s local musical talent and cultural industries, and thereby also significantly increase indirect returns to the Treasury, through increased Tourist arrivals and spending, and to promote Dominica as an ideal nature vacation destination. Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit who is now under serious public scrutiny and pressure for the Choksi alleged Kidnaping matter and the attempt to impose what appears to be austerity measures on Dominicans, while enjoying a $64,000 a month mansion at Morne Daniele, has now suddenly withdrawn a Bill that he had intended to be passed in Parliament today, which would restricted pubic officers salary increases to no more than 1 to 2 % over the next 13 years, without the possibility of any negotiations by the Union representing Public Officers. Mr Skerrit’s statement denying all of this, came on State Radio earlier this morning, in immediate response to the Union and other entities making it known that they will stop parliament from passing this bill, because they don’t agree with what it represents. Dominicans also vowed to interrupt parliament this morning, if Prime Minister Skerrit would not answer questions in Parliament about the alleged Choksi Kidnapping matter.
