Photo: Dominica News Online Chairman of the Dominica State College Dr Ian Lambert has welcomed a decision by the Skerrit led DLP Government to abolish the payment of tuition fees by DSC students. His statement came in response to a sudden announcement by the Prime Minister Skerrit, this week, that the Government of Dominica has abolished tuition fees for DSC students effective May 13, 2019. Lambert says this is a move in the right direction, and now there is no reason for any student not to do well at the institution. He says students have always been able to do their exams regardless of not having paid their fees, the only matter would be, that formerly, they were not allowed to see their grades unless they had paid. Lambert went on to explain what he thinks the Prime Minister meant, when he said that the college students are to volunteer to do mandatory community service.
