We exercise a lot of flexibility with our customers to ensure that their needs as well as their goals are met. Mr Stephen Lander is the country head for First Caribbean Bank and was speaking on Q95 on Monday. He says First Caribbean sees itself as life partner in a healthy relationship, where much flexibility is exercised, so that both parties meet their goals. Meanwhile, Lander commented on some of the steps the bank took in assisting Dominicans following Hurricane Maria. Lander said the bank made cash flow more readily available to their customers, and was also flexible in dealing with most of their needs. Mr Lander went on to explain how the idea of the ‘Join the Movement’ campaign came into being, in its efforts to build a more resilient Dominica. He gave some details of the inner workings of the Campaign. Lander said the Planning Division and the Bank worked hand in hand. He said, although the process seemed lengthy, it was necessary. He added that the bank wants to ensure the safety of its customers and that of their family. Mr. Lander went on to the timing and approval process for such loans, especially dealing with post Maria and a new upcoming hurricane season Meantime, Lander has clarified the link between Massy Insurance Company and first Caribbean National Bank. He says our goal is not to be the cheapest on the Market, but we want to deliver a product with the most value, as Massy Services in Dominica is exclusive, and is custom made.
