Kevin Boyd and Kohath Baron represented Dominica at Caribbean Junior Championships for the first time ever in the country’s cycling history. They competed amongst a number of other Caribbean countries from all parts of the region. President of the Dominica Cycling Association (DCA) Senator Ronald Charles congratulated the two young men for their historical participation in this championship competition. In the ‘time trial’ section of the competition, over 15 countries participated, and Dominica’s very own Kohath Baron ranked number 6. However, In the 52 miles ‘Road Race’ section of the competition, Baron and Boyd were not able to continue the Race Due to circumstances beyond their control, allegedly, symptoms of food poisoning. Senator Charles extended much appreciation to the Dominica Olympics Committee (DOC ) for being on board, and said he is looking forward to much more cycling in Dominica in the future.
