Opposition Leader Lennox Linton calls detention of Roseau Central MP Joseph Isaac today “ridiculous”2/20/2017 Opposition Leader Lennox Linton calls detention of Roseau Central MP Joseph Isaac at 5:00 am this morning “ridiculous”. The DLP Administration has been arresting leaders and members of the opposition and subsequently releasing them several hours later, mostly without any charge, as was the case with Joseph Isaac today.
Opposition Leader Lennox Linton has described the detention of members of the main opposition parties as witch-hunting, malicious, and utterly ridiculous intimidation tactics. And according to Isaac, police officers ransacked his house during the early hours of Monday morning, and then took him into custody. Linton says the patriots have decided that “touch one, touch all”, and they will gather in large numbers outside the Police Headquarters in support of Isaac. Linton added, “This is what we have to endure, until we ensure that Roosevelt Skerrit resigns”. He stated further that every time an opposition member is arrested, it is an opportunity for crowds to gather in Roseau and chant “this despot, this dictator, must go”.
