Portsmouth MP Ian Douglas has commented on the outcome of the U- 19 Football Match held in Portsmouth over the weekend, where fans of the Bombers Football Team reportedly stormed the field to physically confront the referee officials who directed the game of Harlem vs Bombers. It is reported that the referees were very bias in their judgment and gave the win to the Harlem football team, in the eyes of all who attended the match. Douglas classified the judgment and reaction of the Bombers Football team fans as sad. Additionally, Douglas is calling the Officials at the Dominica Football Association (DFA) to increase their disciplinary methods to keep referees and other officials in line with the integrity of the sport. He went on to explain the two reasons why such confrontation occurred at the match over the weekend, where the referee allegedly disregarded the fowl committed by a member of the Harlem team against Bombers player out side the box line, and in the second instance, the referees so when a Harlem play used his both hands to pull down a forward man within the box line.
