Pastor Randy Rodney, host of the Kingdom Connection Program, has spoken out about the recent incident at Castle Bruce Secondary School, where students were seen singing vulgar lyrics during a school event. He criticized the permissiveness in Dominican society that has allowed such behaviors to occur, calling for collective accountability. Pastor Rodney highlighted that this tolerance of negative behaviors is rooted in a widespread fear of speaking up and taking action, fostered by an environment where voicing concerns is discouraged. Pastor Randy Rodney has criticized the inadequate response from the Minister of Education, who is also the Parliamentary Representative for Castle Bruce, regarding the recent incident at the secondary school where students sang vulgar lyrics during a school event. He contrasted this with the proactive stance of St. Vincent's Prime Minister, who is advocating for changes to the country's Public Order Act, highlighting Dominica's inaction in addressing public bad behavior issues. In observance of World Immunization Week, Fine Foods Inc. partnered with the Ministry of Health, Wellness, and Social Services to donate diapers across the island through its Paddlers line of baby products. The campaign, launched under the slogan "Engage now to protect the future #GetVax," emphasized the importance of collective efforts to save and improve lives from vaccine-preventable diseases. Throughout the week, the Ministry organized various activities, including a mop-up campaign for children, an Influenza Drive, vaccinations for homebound clients, and school visits targeting unvaccinated Pre-K and Kindergarten children. Fine Foods Inc distributed diapers ranging from newborn size 1 to toddler size 6 to the Dominica China Friendship Hospital, Reginald Fitzroy Armour Hospital in Portsmouth, and health districts in Roseau, St Joseph, Grand Bay, Castle Bruce, and La Plaine. These diapers were included in care packages for mothers of vaccinated children and for less fortunate mothers in these communities. "This donation not only strengthens our relationship with the Ministry of Health but also allows Fine Foods Inc. to give back to the communities we serve," said Brand Manager, Mrs. Jemina Marie. "This marks the third year that Fine Foods Inc and Paddlers have participated in Immunization Week, and we are committed to spreading the message about the importance of immunization. We look forward to continuing this partnership in the years to come."
