The Central Co-operative Credit Union Limited joined credit unions around the world to celebrate International Credit Union (ICU) Day. This year’s theme is “Building financial health for a brighter tomorrow.” This theme highlighted the way credit unions are responding to the financial challenges of members in this Covid-19 pandemic by working with them to help rebuild their livelihoods. In honor of ICU Day, the Society organized a week of activities, and as part of the week’s activities, timely donations of food and other needed supplies were made to the Home for the Aged in Portsmouth and the Grotto Home in Roseau. Much focus was spent on the membership in appreciation of the many years of support. Members participated in trivia questions, creole wear competition and other prize-winning activities.
