UWP new ‘Women of Workers Voice’ tells Dominican women sharpen their political skills & get involved5/22/2018 Latrisha Cadette-Trimble hosted the UWP women’s arm new program “Women of Workers (WOW) Voice”, which was aired on Q95fm Radio on Thursday night. Cadette-Trimble said this is the time to educate the masses, and all hands should be on board, regardless of their political affiliation. She urged Dominican women at home and abroad, to sharpen their political skills, speak out about what’s going on in their areas, and in their daily lives. Trimble encouraged Dominican women at home and in the Diaspora to speak out and let their voices be heard. She says it is a new age, and a new time where women work side by side with the men, helping to build a vision. Meanwhile, Trimble sent a clear message to the women who now support the Dominica Labour Party. She said the women of United Workers Party will not stand by and allow the women of any political affiliation to be disrespected or degraded in any way. She says the women of the United Workers Party represent respect and high moral values. Trimble referenced a quote by Michelle Obama. Latrisha Cadette Trimble Meantime, President of the “Women of Workers (WOW)” arm, Mrs. Debbie Astrid Anthony Shillingford tells women take pride in whatever it is they are doing, and in doing it to the best of their abilities. Mrs. Shillingford says women should be proud of their trade, their craft, and whatever else they are good at. Speaking on the topic of female independence and national pride, Shillingford said everyone has the capability of earning money, and one of the intentions of WOW is to bring out the pride and confidence in the women of Dominica.
