Two contracts have been signed between the Vieille Case Village Council and two contractors from the community of Vieille Case, for 400 meters of road rehabilitation. The contracts signed on Thursday evening at the Vieille Case Credit Union Hall, are valued at EC$542,656.25, to be split evenly between the two contractors, Gregory Massicot and Francis Alex George. According to Public Works Ministry Chief Engineer, Mr Dwight Louis, these works are expected to be completed within the next five weeks. Louis went on to advise the contractors to be aware of their finances in order to stay within the budget of the contract. Meanwhile, Vieille Case Constituency MP Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit said, more contracts will be signed for infrastructural works in the Vieille case constituency.
Skerrit said government had already allocated the funds for these works, and these other contracts will be signed in the near future, by contractors of the community.
