Dr Triphi Margaret Wallace points out that abuse is a psychological process that is unique to each individual even if one has all the information and tools needed to comprehend it. She continued, adding that the people believe they must accept these occurrences for the relationship to succeed, and they can develop an addiction to these events taking place. She goes on to say that while there is no simple solution to this issue, we must move beyond the current approaches and find better ways to handle the problems. Dr Wallace argues that we must improve and that it should not be the case that we abandon our people to fend for themselves. Psychologist, Dr Triphi Margaret Wallace.

Social Activist Atherton Martin claims there are professionals in Dominica who are referred to as "grabbers" and "not givers," and these people only take action if it will benefit them personally, rather than because it is what they were taught to do, which is to assist those in need and build the country. Martin continued by saying that as politicians are far less competent and knowledgeable than the experts themselves, they should not be held accountable for their actions. Martin continued by saying that because we permitted policymaking to be delegated, the policymaker has now evolved into the project manager and director, which is not how the Public Service is set up to operate. It's said, the equipment will further enhance the efforts of PISLM to build capacity within the Forestry Division, as several training and development activities have taken place, the most recent being a two-day workshop in November 2022, where the staff was trained on improving adoption and implementation of SLM (Sustainable Land Management) approaches to management of forests and related ecosystems in Dominica. The annual World Day for African and Afro-Descendent Culture, observed on January 24, reinforces UNESCO's mission to foster respect for cultural variety and human creativity throughout the world by celebrating the numerous distinct cultures of the African continent and African Diasporas. Dr. Irving "Eipigh" Pascal queries whether we are sufficiently informed of our history, the facets of our culture, and our comprehension of the terms and concepts. He added that in his opinion, elements such as song, dance, and clothes that have been labeled as "culture" are not fully what he views to be culture. Pascal notes that this lacks some depth in its meaning and comprehension and doesn't really identify who we are as a people. Dr. Irving "Eipigh" Pascal.
