Former Ambassador to Dominica Crispin Gregoire weighs in on the recent nomination of Ambassador Vince Henderson to be the new MP for Grand Bay. Speaking on Wednesday’s Talk on the Block Program, Mr. Gregoire’s stance was similar to that of many others, whereby he expressed the view that a representative of a constituency would be more relatable to the people who live there, if the person was affiliated with that constituency. Being a Grandbay man himself, the Former Ambassador said Grandbay has a long history of producing competent leadership, and should not accept a person being imposed upon them as their leader. He says creating a new political shift in Grandbay is a task that needs serious resources and a social mindset change, which is not easy at this time. The people of Grand Bay area with the Labor Party now, but they must feel cheated in not having one of their own, to represent them. Former Ambassador to Dominica, Crispin Gregoire.
