Dominican Pan-Africanist McClean Williams stated that society has a tendency to look to professionals to represent the interests of the people, which he called "madness." He went on to say that any profession is a way to obtain permission to practice the profession in which one specializes, such as a lawyer or any number of other professions. He was speaking as a guest on Q95’s Youth on Q program as they looked at the topic “Independence and what it means as a people”. Williams continued by saying that one thing people don't understand is that the education system does not make a distinction between the education system and the economy. For instance, when a person qualifies they need a job and the schools do not train a person to be their own boss. Dominican Pan Africanist McClean Williams

He was speaking as a guest on Q95’s Roots Connection on Q program hosted by Dr. Simone Mathieu Wednesday night. Mr Gregoire continued by saying that they had also given consideration to integrating people from other parts of the world whose cultures and, most importantly, the goods they produce that are influenced by Creole, would be showcased in Dominica. Political Scientist Dr. Dion George claims that he prefers to approach politics in terms of institutions, change, and dynamism. Where there is change, he hopes it will be a change toward cooperation. Regarding Mr. Lennox Linton's resignation as UWP Political leader, Dr. George noted that the discussion prompted a review of the notion of leadership in a fledgling democracy. The discussion, he continues, is along the lines of asserting that people are in favor of a good government that caters to them. According to George, the future UWP leader won't enter battle with a single bullet but rather with a well-stocked armory if he or she holds opposing viewpoints to a mono-economy and exhibits strong negotiating abilities. Dominica Freedom Party (DFP) leader Bernard Hurtault says that mankind's ability to use the natural world and the laws that coexist there is a prerequisite for everything we do. For instance, the cell phone was an idea developed by someone, with assistance from everyone in each component until it was finally created. He was speaking as a panelist on the Global View on Q on Tuesday night on the topic: Making a Fresh Start in Dominica. Hurtault stated further that we all employ concepts that were developed by Maxwell, who has been dead for hundreds of years. As a result, these same ideas live on in the machines as ghosts. However, it all boils down to ideas that enable things to be feasible. Dominica Freedom Party (DFP) Political leader, Bernard Hurtault
Though some of us may be on a vacation or embracing our independence season, our medication and dietary commits should not be. These words of positive caution came from Health Professionals on a special edition of Jolly's Health Vibes on Wednesday on Q95. They encouraged Dominicans to be mindful of the substances they put into their bodies especially if they are already on medication. They also encouraged them to continue taking their medication, if they were considering putting it off until their celebrations are over, as this too may have unwanted consequences. Persons with diabetes and other underlying conditions are especially cautioned, even more so. Jolly's Health Vibes Health Panel
Prime Minister Skerrit says government believes Diasporans can play an even bigger part in promoting trade & investment, starting enterprises, and sharing the knowledge and skills they have accumulated over time. According to Prime Minister Skerrit, the government believes that Diasporas can play an even bigger part in promoting trade and investment, starting enterprises, and sharing the knowledge and skills they have accumulated over the years. After two (2) years, he continued, the conversation was a chance. He was speaking at the State House yesterday morning. Skerrit continued by saying that if Dominica keeps importing fossil fuels, the island nation's residents and businesses would all suffer as the cost of those resources rises on the international market. Prime Minister, Roosevelt Skerrit
National Security Minister Rayburn Blackmoore told Diasporans at Wednesday's Diaspora meeting at the State House, to promote a positive image of Dominica, which he claimed is on a path of dynamic prosperity. But many are asking; is Dominica really on a path to dynamic prosperity? Blackmore asked the Diasporans to embrace the independence season and focus on the positive promotion of the country. As the premier five-star resort on Dominica, which was recently named the top Caribbean island by Travel + Leisure readers, Cabrits Resort & Spa Kempinski Dominica invites travelers to escape the traditional holiday hustle & bustle, and instead experience a stress-free season, island-style.
The resort is surrounded by Cabrits National Park and serves as the ideal base from which to explore the natural beauty and ecosystem of this off-the-beaten-path volcanic island. Best of all, getting to the destination is now easier than ever, thanks to relaxed entry restrictions and new daily nonstop service between Miami International Airport (MIA) and Douglas-Charles International Airport (DOM). “After several challenging years for travel and family celebrations, we know that our guests are looking forward to creating meaningful, unique memories this holiday season,” said Resort Manager Pascale Selman. “We’ve curated special packages for couples and families to help them create that perfect holiday experience, with a Caribbean twist.” We should not stand up and declare that we have rewarded the Dominican electorate, according to Justice Irving Andre, since to do so would be to unduly downplay the level of graft and election stealing that have occurred in Dominica. He points out that there is substantial evidence to support this claim, and that even the highest court in the region has plainly stated that the current system does not warrant holding another general election. He continues by saying that many lose their jobs and professions as a result of their political connections. He emphasizes that we shouldn't minimize or downplay the degree of irregularity, oppression, and persecution that exist in Dominica. Justice Dr Irving Andre
