Head of ECCO warns Dominica and other Caribbean islands could lose out on US trade concessions12/30/2015 If what the regional chairman of the Eastern Caribbean Collective organization for music rights (ECCO) is true, Dominica and the other Caribbean islands could lose out of trade concessions to the United States.
According to McCarthy Marie Dominica and the region has until February 2016 to hold a meeting with trade ministers to address the issue of piracy as it relates to American television signals and music.He says failure to hold such a meeting could result in the implementation of measures to remove trade concessions to the United States that are already in effect. Chief Environmental health officer Anthony Scotland says stool samples were taken from over 300 food handlers across Dominica during the study. He says the results also indicate the need to restructure their program where food handlers are concerned. It is said that her ability to deal with internal and external stakeholders is considered to be impressive, and she has received this promotion as a result. Her family is said to be proud of her ascent to this new leadership role in her career.Jo-Anne Felix, is a graduate of the Dominica State College, and has reportedly travelled to various Ritz Carlton properties on the US mainland. Leader of the United Workers Party, Lennox Linton, is exhorting officials of Dominica’s Police Force to exercise their duties with due caution & professionalism. The UWP Leader’s statement comes in the wake of reports of alleged actions taken by police on 28th December 2015, in the impoverished Silverlake community.
