Dominica Freedom Party President Johnson Boston sees President Bill Clinton’s visit as being timely2/20/2018 President of the Dominica Freedom Party Johnson Boston sees the visit by Bill Clinton in recent times as timely. He hopes that the visit will be of significance to resolving some of the financial concerns plaguing Dominica at this time. Former President of the United States of America, Bill Clinton visited Dominica on 6th February 2018. President Clinton visited the island following his call at the UN/CARICOM Donor’s conference in New York last year, where he made a call for international donors to come to Dominica and other small island states in the Caribbean’s aid. He was visiting in his capacity as founder and Chair of the board of directors of the Clinton Foundation. The Clinton Foundation will be launching an Action Network on Post-Disaster Recovery, in the Caribbean. The Action Network on Post-Disaster Recovery is focusing on five key areas: energy, infrastructure, health, education, and economic development. The Commitments to Action will aim to improve disaster response and support the sustainable, inclusive, and resilient rebuilding of the region. However, Boston says all political parties should have been allowed to meet with Former US President and Owner of the Clinton Foundation Bill Clinton, to discuss important matters of interest to state development.
