Dominican Economist Dr Thomson Fontaine calls for the disbarment of Attorney Lennox Lawrence, for formally calling on Dominica’s Acting DPP, Sherma Dalrymple, to refuse to follow the unanimous order from the Justices of the Caribbean Court of Justice in the Election Treating Case legally filed against Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit and others. The CCJ unanimously dismissed the appeal in the matter of Roosevelt Skerrit & Ors Vs Antoine Defoe &Ors, and affirmed the order of the Court of Appeal reinstating the Magistrate’s summonses for the appellants to appear to answer the election charge of treating. Treating refers to directly or indirectly providing food, drink or entertainment to a person, during or after an election with the aim of corruptly influencing that person’s vote. The Court heard the appeal on December 10, 2020. Economist Dr Thomson Fontaine reminds Attorney Lennox Lawrence, Roosevelt Skerrit and Anthony Astaphan that ‘Noone’ is above the laws of Dominica. Dr Fontaine added that a penalty must be paid for the acts committed by Roosevelt Skerrit and Others in this Election Treating Matter. Economist Dr. Thomson Fontaine
