Financial Consultant and Former Parliamentarian, Frederick Baron, says he is a little optimistic about this year's national budget being presented today. PM Roosevelt is delivering a over $800M budget the biggest in Dominica's history. Ahead of the budget PM Skerrit announced some new areas in which this budget would focus to include a program targeting entrepreneurs, an increased spending for manufacturers and training for teachers. Baron says this budget indicates that the Government may have gotten some new guidance. He says he is particularly excited about the proposed entrepreneurship program Meanwhile, Baron has joined those calling for some hope to be given to the young men on island. Former Government Minister, Henry Dyer, has called for more attention to be given to the young men on island. And with increasing criminal activity particularly among men, Baron says too many young people are out there wondering what should I do? Baron is proposing the establishment of a manufacturing incubator which he says will create employment for some of the young people.
