Governance Minister Gretta Roberts says for the public service, strengthened institutional systems are particularly significant. A Development Management program was launched at the UWI open Campus on Friday morning. She says it is part of an overall public sector transformation strategy which seeks to chart a way forward for the change in management within the public service by 2030. 50 senior level managers in the service are expected to benefit. Minister for Governance, Gretta Roberts Head of UWI Dominica, Dr Kimone Joseph says the program will assist participants in analyzing leadership, management, planning and policy aspects of the development process. It has worked together with the UWI team over the last several months to develop the training program for the public service that will help stimulate the transformation of how work is done, and improve efficiency and enhance the capacity of public officers to deliver on the development needs of Dominica.
